Good Better Best Compare

This is a basic layout out, it helps the customer understand why you are offering each option and sets proper expectation. You still need to provide the actual description of the work you are proposing for each of these options.

The compare/budget section adds benefit to you in several ways:

It lets the customer know how much it would cost to replace or fix the problem with new.

It gives the customer a good price comparison to better understand how each choice should be fully considered.

It ensures the customer has less opportunity in the future when the old device/part/unit keeps breaking.

Lastly, because it is the highest price option it helps lessen the shock of some of the repair options.

Good

This option covers pricing for the malfunction that stopped the system/component from working. Typically there are related issues when there is a failure. This option only addresses the failure. We are basically putting a band aid on the problem.

Better

This option covers the initial failure as well as related issues and potential future problems, by addressing these issues with the initial failure you can protect against future failures, and reduce repairs costs. The technician has provided you with the best recommendations to avoid problems in the future, eliminate excessive wear, address safety and services issues, and reduce operating costs.

Best

This option is provided to make sure you understand and are able to base your decision with knowledge to compare the cost of the initial failure, the recommendations for related items, and projections of repairs in the future.

Compare/Budget
